Champion Process
This screen helps you to see your progress and where you are on your Inclusive Sportswear journey. Each section will automatically tick-off when completed.
The School Champion Process has been designed with the Youth Sport Trust as a simple way to support school staff to implement effective change in PE kit policies to improve inclusion and participation.
- The four steps are outlined below: Pledge, Review, Action Plan, Evidence.
- Successful completion of the School Champion process will earn the school Inclusive Sportswear School Champion certification for two years.
- Your School will be entered into the annual Inclusive Sportswear Champion Awards.

Take the Pledge
The first step is to pledge your school to the charter. The Charter Pledge signals your school’s commitment to the Inclusive Sportswear Charter.

Review
The next step is to review your PE kit policies and practices, to assess how closely they uphold the Inclusive Sportswear Charter principles. Explore our resources here.

Action Plan
Following your Review, identify the key areas you want to improve in your PE kit policy and practices, and submit them here in the online form. The Action Plan becomes your focus and you will only need to submit Evidence on your Action Plan.

Evidence
After your Review and successful implementation of your Action Plan, the final stage is to submit your evidence of how your school has improved your PE kit policy to support choice, inclusion and participation.
Already inclusive?
If you have already started your inclusive PE kit journey, we would encourage you to complete the Review to ensure you are meeting the Champion School standards. If you are happy with your school’s progress, we invite you to complete the Action Plan and Impact Evidence sections ‘retrospectively’ as appropriate. You can submit your Champion Process and we will review for you.
